Waiting for freedom

Mordechai Vanunu was released in 2004 after serving 18 years in prison . Since the realease he has twice been arrested by Israeli soldiers, and, more importantly, he is prohibited from leaving what he considers to be ?Israel prison?. The following interview with him was published by IMEMC correspondent Kristoffer Larsson.

Clashes at demonstration against the wall

At least 40 demonstrators were hurt and 52 were arrested by the Israeli Occupation forces at a nonviolent protest against the separation wall in the village of Bil'in near the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Mussa Arafat, senior military adviser to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and a cousin of his late predecessor Yasser Arafat, has been killed by unknown assailants in the Gaza Strip.

On Saturday the 3rd of September 2005 activists used the qualification game Switzerland against Israel for an action with banners. Four people with two banners saying 'Free Palestine - Boycott Israel' ran onto the playground to draw attention to the situation of the Palestinians.

With pullout past, IDF moves to fence Ma'aleh Adumim

The Israel Defense Forces and the Civil Administration began issuing land expropriation orders this weekend for construction of the separation fence around Ma'aleh Adumim, after Attorney General Menachem Mazuz gave the bulk of the route a legal seal of approval.
