The photographers Cristiano Freschi, Stefano Bonanni and Francesco Pistilli allow a peek at moments in the life of at-Tuwane village residents. Accompanied by text from Monica Joris, their photographs create a portrait of a daily dream. At-Tuwani is a village in the South Hebron Hills in which some two hundred people live, clinging to the idea of non-violence whilst coping with hidden and open threats.

At-Tuwani is a place in which endless patience is the weapon to face dispossession and the manner in which to protect the right to live in this desert land.
