886 homes damaged in Israel during Operation Pillar of Defence

Created on 23 November 2012

Israel's Tax Authority estimates that there were 1,790 cases of damage to property in Israel during its Operation Pillar of Defence against the Palestinian people of Gaza. 886 homes were damaged and 311 cars were hit. The Tax Authority is reported by the settler-affiliated Arutz 7 to be working "intensively" to repair all damage and get things back to normal.

Some 30 Israeli families from the cities of Rishon Letzion, Beer Sheva and Asdod, whose homes sustained direct hits, are being housed in hotels at Israeli government expense.
