Photos: Thousands in Gaza protest death of Arafat Jaradat

Created on 24 February 2013

Thousands marched and rallied in Gaza this morning to protest the death of Arafat Jaradat, a Palestinian detainee in Israel's Megiddo prison, yesterday. Jaradat, 30 years old and from the Hebron area town of Sair, was arrested last week from his home on suspicion of throwing rocks during Israel’s November “Operation Pillar of Defence”  attack on the Gaza Strip. Jaradat was the father of two children, four-year-old daughter Yara and two-year old son Mohammad. His wife Dalal is pregnant with their third child.
