On Sunday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian child and arrested two others, claiming all three attempted to attack Israeli soldiers.
On Sunday, Israeli forces killed 15-year-old Diab Abu al-Rub. Israeli authorities allege that he attempted to stab a soldier near the Beita checkpoint in the northern West Bank.
Al-Rub is from the village of Qabatiya, near Jenin.
Following the shooting, graphic photos of al-Rub’s body circulated in Palestinian media, showing the child was shot directly in the head.
Palestinian Red Crescent spokeswoman Errab Foqoha said that a Red Crescent ambulance was nearby at the time of the shooting and wanted to give al-Rub medical attention, but Israeli authorities prevented the ambulance from reaching him, even as he quickly lost blood.
No Israelis were injured from the alleged attack.
Earlier in the morning, Israeli forces arrested 17-year-old Sajeda Nizam Mahmoud from the Zaatara Checkpoint in Nablus for having a knife in her purse. Israeli forces accused her of attempting to stab Israelis.
Mahmoud is from Qusra village, south of Nablus.

In a second arrest on Sunday morning, Israeli soldiers arrested a 14 year old from Bani Na’im for “[opening] the door of a military jeep.”
The Israeli army said that child attempted to stab soldiers inside the jeep, but Israeli soldiers “overpowered” him and took him into custody.

Israeli forces and settlers have killed over 170 Palestinians since a wave of unrest spread across the occupied Palestinian territory in October.
The unrest has been marked by a surge of small-scale attacks and attempted attacks by Palestinian individuals -- predominantly on Israeli military targets -- which have left over 25 Israelis dead, with the majority of alleged Palestinian attackers shot dead on site.
