Israel kills seven Palestinians over four days in West Bank, Gaza Strip.
Thousands of Palestinians in the Hebron-area village of Sair attended the funeral of 20-year-old Muayyad al-Jabbarin on Friday, a day after he was shot dead at the nearby Beit Einun junction after allegedly attempting to stab Israeli soldiers.
Al-Jabbarin is one of seven Palestinians killed in four days across the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
His body was released to local Palestinian officials later in the day, before it was taken to Hebron's al-Ahli Hospital for an autopsy.
The funeral procession set off from al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron and made its way to Sair's center, where Jabbarin was laid to rest in the town's "martyrs'" cemetery.
A number of national figures took part in the funeral, including Abbas Zaki, a member of Fatah's central committee.
Israeli forces continued to impose severe restrictions on all roads leading into Sair, which has now seen 12 residents shot dead by Israeli forces since a wave of unrest swept the occupied Palestinian territory at the beginning of October.
Also on Friday, two Palestinians were killed and ten injured in the Gaza Strip during clashes that evolved during demonstrations against the siege on the coastal strip.
In Ni’lin, to the west of Ramallah, five Palestinian were wounded during the village's weekly protest agains the Separation Wall. In Kufr Qadum, near the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, four Palestinians were injured during Friday's demonstration demanding that Israel re-open the main road to the village, closed by the military already for 13 years.
An additional Palestinian was wounded in Taqu'a, a village to the south east of Bethlehem, during weekend clashes that erupted when the army invaded the village.
Israel declared last week that Swedish officials are “currently unwelcome” in Israel following Swedish foreign minister Margot Wallstrom's call to investigate whether Israel has been conducting extraducial executions of Palestinians during the current wave of violence.
