Filmscreening:  Videomappings: Palestine by Till Roeskens, 2008

The film will be followed by a discussion with Mahmoud Issa, one of the people from Aida camp who was asked to draw the maps

Till Roesken has asked people from Aida Camp, to draw maps of how they see what is around them. The drawing process as well as the stories related to the maps have been recorded on video. Alongside with representations of the camp's history and it's surroundings, the main focus is on stories about difficult ways: about the obstacles that make it almost impossible to reach certain places, and how people try and sometimes manage to get there anyway. This could be the first step of a study about the resistence by going around.
